Ever since the young version of me was lying on your living room floor "reading" the Guardian, you often contributed to my education outside of school. My career in IT owes a great deal to you developing my early interest in computing, and I always loved being able to play with the latest and greatest technology at your house. Later on in life, listening to you and Dad speaking Welsh with locals during trips to Caernarfon really kick-started my desire to improve my own Welsh abilities, which I did. Finally, I still own my treasured and much-read road atlas which you gave me for Christmas, way back in 1985 :-) Cysgwch yn dda, Ewythr Gareth.

Thinking of you our marvellous G Dubs. The man who introduced me to Welsh chairs, champagne and really good food. Our constant taxi at the end of a night who quietly put up with incessant giggles and noise at many a sleepover. Thank you for including me in your trips and making me part of your family. I'll be forever grateful and you'll be forever in my thoughts xxx
